Welcome to Sapphire Band Online!

Thank you very much for visiting us. We've been playing at the Saigon Saigon Bar for more than a year now. Presently we are five people in the group. Noel, Romy, Ingrid, Jenny, and EJ. We play everynight except Mondays from 8 pm until 11:45.

This is the third generation of Sapphire Band. The former members were Glendy, Chris, Sarah, Jennifer, Nil, Bobby, and Shiela. Noel and EJ being the original members lead the band.

Last month was busy as usual at the Saigon Saigon Bar. We are very lucky indeed playing there. Nice people, good ambiance, appreciative audience, the best waitresses and bartenders, not to mention the best management. That's part of many reasons why the Caravelle Hotel won so many awards. But of course, playing at Saigon Saigon Bar is also not easy because of high expectations both from guests and management. But we are trying our best to make the bar maintain it's good reputations.

We would like to thank all our regular guests and friends. To Peter, for giving us comments to make our performances better and supporting us as early as our first set.

We were visited by our friends from Boston. Roger and Ron are my long time friends in Bangkok. They were here with a couple of guys, Cliff and Dan. We had a good time with them. We hope to see you back here again, buddies.

MEMBERS

Noel is the band leader and the keyboard player. He's been a professional musician for 20 years, playing with different bands in Manila and other parts of Asia and the Middle East. He is with the band since it's formation in 2004. His music at Musicforte.

Eljun, known in Saigon Bar as EJ started playing guitar at young age. That experience made him one of the best players in the field. The guests love to see and hear him play, especially on songs like, 'Sweet Child of Mine', 'Still Got the Blues', and also scome music of Santana.

Ingrid is with the group since July 2004. She is a versatile singer. She is well travelled as well and was a singer in a Luxury Cruise Ship before joining the band.

She sings most of the requested songs and she's a good performer as well. She sings jazz as well as pop.

INGRID

The newest member of the band, Jenny joined last April, 2005. She was a former member of Liquified Orange Band and The Family Birth Control Band. She sings good and is a good performer. R & B, Hip hop, and modern beats are her forte. She sings some jazz and soul as well. She is a great entertainer, and an asset to the band.

Romy joined the band last February. That was the time that the band felt that adding a live bass guitar is an advantage. He is also a vocalist.

He sings almost all genres, pop, rock, R & B, and stardard.
